MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511023201 A) filed by Sanskriti University on March 15, 2025, for Batter Spreading Device For Cooking.

Inventors include Indradev Kumar; and Aishwary Awasthi.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A batter spreading device for cooking comprising a telescopic rod 101 having a suction cup 102 at a bottom end to enable attachment of rod 101 on a pan surface, a three-part telescopic link 103 attached at an upper end of rod 101 via a primary ball and socket joint 104 with a rectangular pliable plate 106 at end of link 103 via a secondary ball and socket joint 107 for spreading of batter, a microphone 108 provided on rod 101 for receiving user’s input regarding spreading poured batter, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 105 installed on rod 101 with an ultrasonic sensor embedded on the rod 101 to determine quantity of batter poured on pan and dimensions of pan, a pressure sensor embedded in plate 106 to detect pressure of plate 106 on pan to articulate the plate 106 in a manner to spread batter with even pressure.
