MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541026413 A) filed by Jain Deemed-To-Be University on March 22, 2025, for Barrel Placement Assistive Device.

Inventor includes Dr. Aravindan M K.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A barrel placement assistive device comprises an elongated bar 101 attached to a vehicle via an electromagnetic hook 102, integrated with a microcontroller linked to the vehicle's ECU for ignition detection, a microphone 103 allows user voice commands, while an embedded ultrasonic sensor detects the presence of barrels, an AI- based imaging unit 104 captures images to determine barrel distance, complemented by an extendable L-shaped rod 105 for positioning, a series of motorized discs 106, actuated by the microcontroller, enable barrel translation and respond to obstacles using C-shaped clamps 107, a load cell sensor in the clamps 107 detects barrel weight, triggering audio alerts if thresholds are exceeded, an ultrasonic sensor monitors uneven surfaces, while a LiDAR sensor measures distances to specified locations, a GPS module provides real-time positioning for safe navigation and precise barrel placement on the roadway.
