Abstract: The rapid growth of job applications has made manual resume screening a time-consuming and inefficient process for recruiters. To address this challenge, this project presents an Al-Powered Resume Screening and Career Assistance System using Large Language Models (LLMs). The system is designed to automate resume analysis, evaluate candidate suitability, and provide intelligent career guidance. The proposed system allows users to upload resumes in PDF or text format, from which relevant information is extracted using parsing techniques. The extracted data is then analyzed using a Large Language Model to generate an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) score, assess key sections such as skills, education, and experience, and evaluate the resume against specific job roles. The system also identifies skill gaps and provides personalized based on the user’s profile. An interactive Al-based chat assistant further enhances user experience by providing contextual responses to career-related queries. The application is developed using Python with Streamlit for the frontend interface and integrates the Google Gemini API, for intelligent analysis. This project demonstrates how artificial intelligence can streamline recruitment processes while empowering job seekers with actionable insights and guidance. Overall, the system serves as a comprehensive tool that bridges the gap between candidate profiles and industry requirements, improving both efficiency and effectiveness in the hiring ecosystem.
