Abstract: A bag carriage assistive device for bicycles comprises of an extendable U-shaped frame 101 developed to be installed on underside of a bicycle seat, an ultrasonic sensor embedded in the frame 101 for determining dimensions of fixed supports underneath the seat, a microphone 102 for user input for requirement of assistance in carrying a bag behind the seat, two extendable rods 103 installed on each end of the frame 101 for extending to get deployed towards back of the seat, an imaging unit 104 to determine dimensions of the bag, a motorized hinge joint 105 to provide converging/diverging movement to the rods 103, a motorized roller 106 coiled with a strap 107 for rotating to unwrap/wrap the strap 107, a circular ring 108 arranged at free end of the wrapped strap 107 for clamping onto a hook 109 installed on end of the second rod for stability of the bag.
