The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a chairside dental implant angulation and parallelism guidance device, designated as AXITILT, for assisting clinicians during implant placement procedures. The device is configured as an attachment integrated with or connected to a dental implant handpiece, implant driver, implant mount, or surgical placement instrument. AXITILT incorporates a spirit-level based angulation indicator and/or digital inclinometer capable of providing real-time assessment of implant inclination during surgical insertion. The device further includes an angular measurement system for displaying the current implant angulation and a target-angle setting mechanism that allows the clinician to preselect a desired implant orientation. A feedback module is incorporated within the device to generate tactile, haptic, audible, visual, or combined signals when the predetermined implant angulation is achieved, thereby enabling precise and reproducible implant placement without continuous visual monitoring. The invention further comprises a reference-angle storage mechanism capable of recording the angulation of a previously placed implant. During placement of subsequent implants, the stored reference angle is compared with the angulation of the implant being inserted. When the angular deviation reaches zero degrees or a predefined tolerance range, the device generates a feedback signal indicating achievement of inter-implant parallelism. The invention is applicable in single-tooth, multiple-unit, full-arch, and implant-supported prosthetic rehabilitations where accurate implant angulation and parallel alignment are critical for functional and prosthetic success. AXITILT provides a simple, compact, sterilizable, cost-effective, and user-friendly alternative to complex navigation systems while improving surgical accuracy, reducing operator dependency, minimizing the need for repeated radiographic verification, and enhancing the predictability of implant placement procedures. The invention thereby offers a practical solution for real-time angulation control and parallelism verification in implant dentistry.
