MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202431034405 A) filed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited on April 30, 2024, for Axial Compressor Shaft For Continuous Wind Tunnel Application.
Inventors include Rajeev Ranjan; P. Gowri Shankar; Ambrish; and A. L. Prasad.
The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an axial compressor rotor shaft for continuous wind tunnel application left end shaft, center shaft, right end shaft, thrust collars, wheel type integrated shaft for rotor stages are assembled by shrink fit to reduce the overall weight of shaft to 70% of conventional solid stepped shaft. Further, it involves the advantages of reduced vertical deflection, improved bearing life & easier handling without sacrificing the machine stability over range of operation.
