Abstract: An autonomous waste collection and management system, comprising a plurality of mobile housings 101 adapted at predefined urban locations for containment of solid waste, an imaging unit 102 in synchronization with a proximity sensor to detect approaching individuals carrying waste, a hinged lid 103 to open to allow insertion of waste material, a sensing unit 104 to continuously monitor waste accumulation, decomposition gases, and internal micro environmental conditions, a plurality of mobile bodies 201 to approach the housing 101 for liner removal and waste collection, a pair of L shaped hydraulic bars 202 having a U shaped member 203 with a plurality of suction units 204 to securely grasp and lift the housing 101, an articulated link 303 having a sealing unit 309 to apply controlled thermal energy for sealing the liner mouth, an electronic nozzle 207 with a box 208to dispense controlled quantities of sanitizing fluid into the housing 101.
