MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611097303 A) filed by Jaypee Institute Of Information Technology on August 12, 2026, for Autonomous Solar-Powered Soil Health Assessment And Precision Tillage System With Real-Time Crop Recommendation.

Inventor includes Dr. Hema Nagaraja.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: An autonomous soil health assessment and precision tillage system (100) with real-time crop recommendation. The system (100) comprises a main chassis frame (600), power generation and management assembly including a solar panel array (410) and battery management system (420), tillage wheels (200), sensor assembly housed in a sensor array housing (300), navigation assembly including GPS system (430) and LiDAR obstacle detection unit (440), and control and processing unit (500). The sensor assembly acquires soil moisture, temperature, NPK nutrient content, soil compaction, microbial activity, and carbon dioxide flux data through sensors (310-360). The control and processing unit (500) correlates sensed data with location data to generate soil health information, location-specific soil health maps, crop recommendations, and field management recommendations. The tillage wheels (200) incorporate curved tillage blades (210), controlled pressure system (230), pneumatic pressure system (240), and pressure control system (520) for precision tillage with reduced soil compaction.
