Abstract: The present invention discloses an autonomous robotic system for detection and management of citrus diseases. The system comprises an orchard-traversing mobile platform, an adjustable-height imaging assembly for acquiring RGB and/or multispectral images from multiple canopy levels, environmental and soil sensors, navigation and obstacle-detection sensors, an onboard computing unit, a wireless communication module and a power-management arrangement. The onboard computing unit processes multimodal field data and executes a trained disease-detection model to identify plant-health abnormalities. An explainability module generates information indicating image regions, symptom characteristics or feature contributions associated with a diagnostic output. Selected images, sensor records, location information and diagnostic data are communicated to a remote computing platform for storage, disease mapping, trend analysis, alerts and decision-support information. Edge processing permits continued field-level analysis when continuous remote connectivity is unavailable, while adjustable-height imaging facilitates inspection of lower, internal and upper canopy regions.
