Abstract: The present invention discloses an autonomous robotic system (100) for contactless and non-destructive detection of hidden current-carrying wires. The system (100) comprises a mobile robotic platform (110) driven by a motor drive assembly (120) through a motor driver module (130); a three-axis magnetometer sensor (140) measuring the orthogonal components of the local magnetic flux density; an ESP32 microcontroller (150) coupled to the sensor (140) via a communication bus (154) and computing a resultant magnetic field magnitude; a power supply module (160); and an alert / indicator module (170). A threshold-based decision logic (190) implemented by the ESP32 microcontroller (150) compares the resultant magnetic field magnitude against a detection threshold derived from an ambient Earth magnetic field baseline, and declares the presence of a hidden current-carrying wire on exceedance while the platform (110) autonomously traverses a predetermined scanning path.
