Abstract: An autonomous respiratory support device, comprises of a wearable body 101 adapted to be worn around a thoracic region of a user includes a securing means 102 and a capacitive sensor matrix to assist in placement and alignment, a multi-modal sensing module comprising an acoustic sensor, a respiratory expansion sensor, and a physiological sensor to detect respiratory and physiological parameters, an acoustic sensor using a piezoelectric microphone array 103 to capture lung sounds and generate acoustic reflection maps, a respiratory expansion sensor measuring chest expansion and breathing frequency, a physiological sensor monitoring blood oxygen saturation, heart rate, and skin temperature, a control unit producing a respiratory stability index to assess distress severity, a therapeutic intervention module providing mechanical and haptic breathing support, an active medication delivery module dispensing medicated mist and an environmental sensing module detecting asthma triggers and ambient conditions.
