MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611065050 A) filed by Greater Noida Institute Of Technology Engineering Institute on May 23, 2026, for Autonomous Line-Following Robotic System With Stm32 Microcontroller, Sensor Fusion, And Obstacle-Aware Path Control.

Abstract: Abstract An STM32-based autonomous line-following robotic system is disclosed for embedded robotic navigation and line-following control. The system receives IR sensor outputs indicating line contrast, ultrasonic distance values, motor feedback and stored speed parameters from a mobile robot platform, a marked travel path, nearby obstacles and an embedded controller through an input interface. A conditioning portion prepares the received input by filtering, normalizing, parsing, segmenting or otherwise converting the input into a structured representation suited to the particular processing task. A decision portion then samples path and obstacle sensors, computes a line error value, updates motor speeds through PID control and coordinates obstacle response with the line- following command. The system generates left and right motor drive signals, steering corrections, speed adjustments and obstacle- avoidance actions through an output interface and stores a corresponding processing record. The arrangement links acquisition, conditioning, decision processing and output generation in one operative chain, because the same microcontroller evaluates line- position error and obstacle distance before issuing motor drive values.
