Abstract: The present invention provides an autonomous kitchen telepresence robot for virtual tourism using immersive virtual reality technology. The robot includes a mobile platform, imaging sensors, audio sensors, spatial sensors, communication interface, and processing circuitry. A perception module acquires audiovisual and spatial information from a kitchen, while an autonomous navigation module maps the environment, detects obstacles, and determines safe paths toward selected viewpoints or culinary locations. A telepresence module transmits synchronized visual and audio information to a remote virtual reality interface. A tourism context module presents information relating to culinary activities, ingredients, utensils, preparation stages, and cultural points of interest. A remote interaction module enables viewpoint selection, communication, and authorized navigation requests. An adaptive feedback module monitors navigation, environment, communication, and rendering conditions and modifies robot movement, viewpoint, or content delivery to maintain a safe and immersive tourism experience.
