Abstract: ABSTRACT Autonomous IoT Robotic System for Dual-Sensor Pothole and Road Hazard Detection The present invention relates to an autonomous IoT-based robotic road inspection system (100) for detecting potholes and road-surface hazards using dual-sensor confirmation. The system comprises an MPU6050 inertial sensor (102), HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor (104), NEO-6M GPS module (106), ESP32 microcontroller with Wi-Fi (108), power supply (110), Blynk IoT cloud platform (112), remote user interface (114), L298N motor driver (116), DC motors (118, 120), wheels (122, 124) and robotic chassis (126). The ESP32 (108) detects an abnormal acceleration or vibration condition from the MPU6050 (102) and a corresponding surface-distance variation from the HC-SR04 (104). A pothole is confirmed only when both sensor conditions satisfy predetermined criteria within a defined temporal relationship. The ESP32 (108) then obtains geographical coordinates from the NEO-6M (106) and transmits geotagged hazard information to the Blynk platform (112) through Wi-Fi for remote monitoring. The system thereby enables autonomous, low-cost and real- time road-condition inspection. Figure-1 Figure-1
