Abstract: An autonomous floating water analysis platform (100) for in-situ spectral analysis of water samples is disclosed. The platform (100) comprises a floating hull body (102) configured to operate on a water body and a propulsion assembly including propellers (106) configured to navigate the floating hull body (102). A payload and dark chamber assembly (108) disposed within the floating hull body (102) includes a radiometrically isolated dark chamber (202) defining an internal sample cavity (204). An active fluid intake system draws a water sample into the internal sample cavity (204), and a spectral sensing module (210) captures spectral measurements of the water sample while ambient external light is blocked. A processing unit receives the spectral measurements, extracts spectral feature data, and executes at least one trained computational model to classify or quantify water quality parameters. The platform enables controlled spectral analysis of water samples while operating on the water body. [
