Abstract: The proposed project focuses on the independent or autonomous control of a seeding machine using intelligent controller based on Mitsubishi compact controller or PLC, Human Machine Interface and Servo drives. The precise seed dispensing is achieved by the proper control of servo mechanism and the locomotion is achieved by the Induction Motor driven by the VFD. The operations like seeding, space calculation and depth control is managed by the Programmable Logic Controller. The HMI gives the real time data from the seeding machine and the parameters about different crops. Soil detection and obstacle detection is sensed by the IR sensors. The uniform distribution of the seed in the field is ensured by the motion cameras.
