MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611075768 A) filed by Gla University, Mathura on June 18, 2026, for Autonomous Child Safety Perimeter System With Predictive Motion Detection.
Inventor includes Dr. Viyat Varun Upadhyay.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an autonomous child safety perimeter system configured for predictive hazard prevention in residential and institutional environments. The system integrates visual sensing devices, inertial sensing modules, environmental sensing units, and an edge-based processing platform for continuous monitoring of child movement. A predictive motion analysis engine processes movement parameters including position, speed, acceleration, orientation, and direction to estimate future trajectory relative to hazardous zones such as swimming pools, staircases, balconies, and restricted areas. A dynamic risk evaluation module determines hazard probability and activates adaptive preventive interventions before actual boundary violation occurs. The interventions include visual alerts, audio warnings, caregiver notifications, environmental controls, and retractable protective barriers. The invention enables proactive safety management with reduced false alarms and real-time response capability.
