MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611078755 A) filed by Simhatel Technologies Private Limited on June 25, 2026, for Autonomous Aerial Firefighting System And Computer-Implemented Method.
Inventors include Dr. Amit Shukla; Pushkar Kumar; Satwik Jaiswal; and Rajan Singh.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: An autonomous aerial firefighting system (100) and method (200) are disclosed. The system comprises a surveillance drone (102) including at least one thermal sensor (104), at least one optical sensor (106), and a processing unit (108) configured to detect a fire event based on sensor data. A localization module (110) determines geographic coordinates of the detected fire event, and a communication module (112) transmits the geographic coordinates to a remote processing system (114). The remote processing system (114) generates a dispatch command responsive to the detected fire event. A firefighting drone (116) receives the dispatch command, autonomously navigates to the geographic coordinates, and actuates a payload deployment mechanism (118) to release one or more encapsulated fire-suppressant payloads (120). The method includes capturing sensor data, detecting a fire event, determining geographic coordinates, transmitting the coordinates, generating a dispatch command, autonomously navigating, and deploying the payload. Fig. 1 will be the reference figure.
