MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621096619 A) filed by Laurus Technologies on August 10, 2026, for Automotive Reaction Carrier And Method Of Manufacturing Thereof.

Inventor includes Narkhede, Niranjan Madhukar.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an automotive reaction carrier manufactured through a powder metallurgy process and configured as a mating component of a planetary carrier assembly. The reaction carrier comprises a compacted and sintered iron-based alloy component having density ranging between 7.0 to 7.1 gram per cubic centimeter and includes spline profiles, hollow sections, oil grooves, and mating surfaces formed through a near-net-shape manufacturing process. A method for manufacturing the reaction carrier is also disclosed, wherein iron-based alloy powders are compacted under high pressure and sintered at temperatures ranging between 1120 °C to 1140 °C in a nitrogen and hydrogen atmosphere for obtaining enhanced mechanical strength, dimensional accuracy, and reduced manufacturing cost.
