The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an Automatically Deployable Self-Balancing Landing Gear for Motorcycles, designed to improve motorcycle stability during low-speed movement, deceleration, and stopping conditions. The system comprises a speed sensor, tilt sensor, control unit, actuator mechanism, and retractable side-support wheels integrated with a motorcycle-mounted landing gear assembly. The speed and tilt sensors detect the operating condition and inclination of the motorcycle and provide signals to the control unit. Based on the detected condition, the control unit operates the actuator to automatically deploy the side-support wheels when additional stability is required and retract them when the motorcycle returns to normal riding conditions. The deployed support wheels provide additional ground contact and assist in maintaining lateral balance, thereby reducing the rider's effort in maintaining stability during low-speed and stationary conditions. The proposed system provides a compact, automated, and practical stability-assistance mechanism suitable for prototype development and motorcycle safety applications.
