Abstract: The present invention relates to an Automatic Water Tank Overflow Prevention and Monitoring System for automatically monitoring and controlling the water level in a storage tank. The system comprises a water-level sensing unit, a control and processing unit, a pump control unit, a water pump, a power supply unit, and optionally a communication and remote monitoring unit. The water-level sensing unit continuously or periodically detects the water level and provides the measured information to the control unit. The control unit compares the detected water level with predefined minimum and maximum thresholds and automatically controls the water pump accordingly. When the water level falls below the predetermined minimum level, the pump is activated to refill the tank, and when the water level reaches the predetermined maximum level, the pump is automatically deactivated to prevent overflow. The system can further incorporate hysteresis-based control to reduce frequent pump switching and an emergency high-level sensing mechanism to provide additional overflow protection in the event of primary sensor failure. The system may also detect abnormal conditions such as prolonged pump operation without a corresponding increase in water level and generate suitable alerts. Through an optional wireless communication module, water-level information, pump status, warnings, and abnormal-condition notifications can be transmitted to a mobile application, web dashboard, or cloud-based monitoring platform. The proposed invention reduces manual intervention, prevents water wastage, minimizes unnecessary electricity consumption, improves pump protection, and provides reliable real-time monitoring of water tank conditions.
