Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an Automatic Vehicle Speed Control System in Restricted Zones designed to automatically regulate vehicle speed for improved safety. The system integrates a zone detection unit, speed sensor, microcontroller, and speed control mechanism to monitor and control vehicle speed according to predefined limits. When a vehicle enters a restricted zone and exceeds the permitted speed, the system automatically activates the speed control mechanism to reduce the vehicle speed. The invention minimizes the need for manual speed monitoring and helps prevent over speeding in schools, hospitals, residential areas, and industrial premises. The system provides a reliable, low-cost, and efficient solution for safer vehicle operation in designated restricted zones. The microcontroller compares the detected vehicles speed with the corresponding permissible speed limit and, when an over speed condition is detected generates a control single for automatically actuating the speed control mechanism to reduce the vehicle speed to within the prescribed limit.cy
