The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an automatic vehicle speed control and real-time alert system for speed-monitored zones using wireless surveillance signal detection. The system comprises a roadside surveillance unit integrated with a speed camera or Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system and a vehicle onboard unit. Upon detecting a vehicle entering a monitored zone, the roadside unit generates and transmits an encrypted wireless signal containing zone-specific speed limit information. The onboard unit receives, authenticates, and decrypts the signal, and simultaneously activates a driver alert and an engine RPM control mechanism to restrict vehicle speed in accordance with the prescribed limit. The system automatically restores normal vehicle operation when the vehicle exits the monitored zone. By transforming conventional passive surveillance infrastructure into an active preventive speed enforcement mechanism, the invention enhances road safety, improves speed compliance, reduces traffic violations, and provides secure vehicle–infrastructure communication without reliance on GPS, digital maps, or dedicated V2I communication networks.
