Abstract: One of the main causes of traffic accidents at urban junctions is signal jumping and traffic signal infractions. Traditional traffic signal systems mostly depend on law enforcement and motorist discipline, both of which are sometimes ineffectual. This concept offers an AUTOMATIC ROAD SAFETY & TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM that combines sensor-based automated nail-type or rectangular speed breakers with traffic signals to get around these restrictions. Through a control unit, speed breakers in the suggested system are directly connected to the state of the traffic signals. The automated speed breakers physically stop cars from crossing the intersection when the traffic light turns red by rising above the road surface. The speed breakers automatically fall when the signal turns green, enabling uninterrupted and easy traffic movement The system includes a sound sensor-based emergency detection mechanism to guarantee priority for emergency vehicles, including fire engines and ambulances.
