MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621110030 A) filed by Sanjeev Agrawal Global Educational University, Bhopal; and Dr. Prashant Jain on September 14, 2026, for Automatic Multi-Chamber Fish Feeder With Sequential Cam-Actuated Dispensing.

Inventor includes Dr Rakhi Das.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT AUTOMATIC MULTI-CHAMBER FISH FEEDER WITH SEQUENTIAL CAM-ACTUATED DISPENSING The present disclosure relates to an automatic multi-chamber fish feeder attachable to an aquarium or fish-rearing tank. A substantially circular housing is divided into independently loadable feed chambers having respective hinged lower doors retained by latch actuators. A programmable timer controls a motor-driven cam that sequentially acts on a spring-biased follower lever associated with a selected chamber. At a programmed feeding time, cam movement displaces the follower against a spring and moves the latch away from the selected door. The door opens to permit a preloaded feed portion to fall by gravity through a feed outlet. Continued cam movement releases the follower, whereupon the spring returns the latch mechanism toward a door-retaining state. Unselected chambers remain closed. A support stand with an adjustable clamp permits detachable mounting to aquariums, glass tanks, culture tanks, or other fish-rearing setups. The device enables scheduled discrete feeding with reduced manual intervention and reduced dependence on real-time bulk-feed metering.
