Abstract: AUTOMATIC FOOT PEG ABSTRACT A foot peg system (400, 600) for a vehicle (100) is disclosed, comprising at least one foot peg (108) mounted on the vehicle (100), at least one sensor (112) configured to generate a signal (S1) indicative of the presence or absence of the pillion rider, a actuation unit (107) configured to effect movement of the at least one foot peg (108) between a deployed state and a retracted state, a memory unit (126) comprises machine-readable instructions, and a controller (402) which is communicatively coupled to the at least one sensor (112), the actuation unit (107), and the memory unit (126), and is configured to execute the machine-readable instructions to receive the signal (S1) and issue a control signal (S2) to the actuation unit (107) to move the at least one foot peg (108) in at least one of the deployed state and the retracted state based on the received signal (S1).
