Abstract: An automated workpiece fitting device, comprises of a platform 101 having plurality of motorized wheels 102 to maneuver over a surface, an imaging unit 103 to detect presence of a receiving component positioned over surface, a robotic gripper 104 to extend towards a chamber 105 to securely grip and retrieve an appropriate workpiece to be inserted into groove of receiving component, a tank 106 stored with liquid nitrogen to dip workpiece into liquid nitrogen for shrinking of workpiece, a telescopic rod 108 to extend and position a hammering unit 107 to apply controlled striking force for precise fitting of workpiece into groove, a vibration unit 109 to induce controlled vibrations in workpiece detecting inadequate vibrational response indicating improper fitting, a telescopic bar 111 to extend and position a heating unit 110 for apply controlled heat to workpiece, enabling thermal expansion for ensuring a secure fit within groove of receiving component.
