Abstract: The Automatic Water Tank Level Detection and Refilling system represents a significant technical advancement in domestic water management by integrating sensor- based automation with intelligent motor control. The system employs a microcontroller as the central control unit, along with water level sensors that continuously monitor the level of water inside the household overhead tank. A relay-based switching mechanism is used to automatically operate the water pump, ensuring timely filling of the tank while preventing overflow and dry running conditions. In addition to water level automation, the system incorporates water quality monitoring through pH and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) sensors, providing real-time information on the condition of the stored water. The measured parameters are displayed on an LCD, allowing users to easily assess water suitability for domestic use. Collectively, these components enhance system reliability, improve water usage efficiency, and significantly reduce the need for manual supervision.
