Abstract: An automated water detection and safety device for children comprising a wearable component to be worn by a user having an imaging unit 102 to monitor surroundings of component for presence of water and analysing conditions such as visibility to detect immersion of component into water, upon detection of water immersion, multiple inflatable members 103 located in component’s front and back portion integrated with an inflating unit to inflate air into members 103 for providing optimal buoyancy to child, a weight sensor coupled with a pressure sensor to accurately measure child’s weight and monitor air pressure to regulate actuation of multiple iris lids 104 arranged on members 103 positioned on back portion for getting opened/closed to release air flipping component to orient child’s face upwards to prevent submerging of child.
