Abstract: Automated treasure box relates to an automated treasure box for receiving, recognizing, recording, monitoring, and storing deposited currency. The treasure box comprises a top currency detection region (4) having a currency insertion slot, a currency slide (7), a camera module (6), an IR proximity sensor (8), a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B processing unit (1), an LED strip (5), and a bottom currency storage compartment (3). As the deposited currency note or coin travels along the inclined currency slide (7), the IR proximity sensor (8) detects its presence. LED strip (5) is activated to provide illumination, and the camera module (6) captures an image of the inserted currency. After image acquisition, the LED strip (5) is deactivated, and the captured image is processed using machine-learning-based currency recognition technique. The recognition result is subsequently recorded in the database. The system returns to a standby state, awaiting the next currency insertion.
