Abstract: The present invention provides a smart monitoring and fault detection system for home water reverse osmosis (RO) units, designed to ensure safe drinking water. It integrates a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) sensor within the RO system to continuously monitor water quality in real time. If the TDS level exceeds a predefined threshold, indicating unsafe water quality, the system automatically shuts down the RO, closing both inlet and outlet valves to prevent the consumption of contaminated water. Simultaneously, the system displays detailed information about the TDS levels and specific filter or circuit issues on a connected display device. The system also sends real-time notifications to a mobile device, ensuring that the user is alerted to water quality issues or necessary maintenance actions. This invention enhances health protection by proactively maintaining safe drinking water and preventing water contamination.
