Abstract: AUTOMATED SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR WELDING A JOB Abstract Disclosed are an automated system (1000) and process (2000) for welding of a job (10) such as reactors, vessels, process tanks and boilers. The system (1000) overcomes limitations associated with manual welding- labor-intensive, time-consuming, and dependent on highly skilled personnel. The system (1000) comprises of a common structural framework- comprising the column (20) and boom (40), a rotator assembly (50), and floating torch slide assembly (60), that can be reconfigured as per use. The system (1000) accommodates fabrication irregularities, such as ovality and skewed alignment of the job, through the self-adjusting floating torch assembly (60), that also ensure to maintain a constant torch- to-joint distance and thus eliminates the need for a costly automatic voltage control system or robotic controls, making it cost-effective and user-friendly solution. The system (1000) and the process (2000) is versatile and finds wide use across multiple welding applications without any substantial modifications.
