MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621072692 A) filed by Gokul Global University on June 11, 2026, for Automated Staircase Management Device.
Inventor includes Dr. Yagna B. Adhyaru.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: An automated staircase management device, the device comprises a housing 101 configured with a stair climbing wheel assembly 102 adapted to conform to stair geometry for controlled ascending and descending motion, an input means operatively coupled with a microcontroller for enabling user defined trimming parameters, a cutting assembly 104 via an extendable L shaped rod on a motorized slider 106 for executing precise linear cuts across stair tread and simultaneously trimming the riser surface, a sensing suite comprising an AI enabled camera 107, a depth sensor and a force sensor for detecting stair edges, measuring material removal and monitoring cutting resistance, a stabilization unit to provide vacuum grip and vibration damping, a debris management module comprising extendable bars 110 supporting a collection canopy 111 with a load cell for monitoring waste accumulation, microcontroller executes machine learning protocols to analyze sensor feedback and dynamically adjust cutting force and slider motion.
