Abstract: ABSTRACT [0011] An automated smart trolley with secured dual-layer billing is disclosed that overcomes the limitations of conventional checkout processes and existing single-sensor smart-trolley designs. Each trolley is equipped with a barcode or RFID scanner for item identification, a camera module for visual confirmation, and a load cell for weight verification. When an item is scanned, the system simultaneously checks that the physical object placed in the trolley matches the scanned identity in both appearance and weight. Billing is updated only when all verification layers agree; any mismatch immediately generates an audio alert and suspends billing. Payment is completed via QR-code transaction, after which an exit-level check of total item count and aggregate weight confirms that all billed items are present before the customer leaves the store. The resulting multi-sensor framework reduces billing discrepancies, prevents item swapping, shortens customer waiting times, and improves overall shopping efficiency in large retail settings.
