Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an automated solar tracking flat plate collector system (100) comprising a flat plate collector assembly (101), single-axis tracking support and mechanical drive arrangement (102), dual LDR sensing arrangement (103), Arduino Nano controller (104), motor driving arrangement (105), water heating and circulation arrangement (106), temperature and flow sensing arrangement (107), and thermally insulated storage tank (108). The dual LDR sensing arrangement (103) detects differential solar illumination and supplies corresponding outputs to the Arduino Nano controller (104). The controller (104) compares the outputs and actuates the motor driving arrangement (105) to rotate the collector assembly (101) through the tracking arrangement (102) until the illumination difference is reduced. Solar heat is transferred from the collector assembly (101) to water flowing through the water heating arrangement (106), while the sensing arrangement (107) measures inlet temperature, outlet temperature and flow. Heated water is collected in the storage tank (108). The figure associated with abstract is Fig. 1.
