Abstract: An automated rotor cage bar insertion device comprising a platform 101 having motorized clamping unit 103 attached with a pair of L-shaped hydraulic rods 102 to position a rotor cage in proximity, an imaging unit 104 synched with an ultrasonic sensor determine distance of rods 102 relative to cage, a motorized slider 105 translate the rods 102, an inverted L-shape telescopic gripper 106 towards a chamber 107 having multiple rotor cage bars for gripping the bar and positioning the bar in alignment with the rotor cage, an inverted L-shape hydraulic pusher 108 apply force on bar to allow insertion of bars inside rotor cage, a pressure sensor monitor force applied by pusher 108 during insertion of rotor cage bars, a motorized ball and socket joint provide rotational movement to the rotor cage for optimal bar insertion.
