Abstract: An automated rivet installation device comprises of a platform 101 positioned in proximity to a workpiece for installation of a rivet within pre-drilled holes of the workpiece, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 104 detects height of the workpiece, a robotic arm 106 retrieve a rivet from the container 105 and transfer the rivet into a chamber 107 installed over the platform 101, a heating element 108 to heat the rivet before insertion, an inverted L-shaped telescopic gripper 109 retrieves the heated rivet and positions it over pre-drilled holes, an inverted L-shaped hydraulic bar 110 configured with a hydraulic plunger 111 apply a controlled force on the heated rivet, and a laser alignment sensor integrated within the body to work with the imaging unit 104 to detect exact location of the holes over the workpiece thereby securing the rivet within the workpiece.
