Abstract: The present disclosure relates to automated retract system (102) for outside rear-view mirror (ORVM) (106) in vehicle (100), and method thereof. Image capturing unit (104) is coupled to ORVM (106) to capture real-time video feeds pertaining to vehicle’s surrounding. System (102) detects one or more obstacles based on real-time video feeds. System (102) measures longitudinal distance and lateral distance of vehicle (100) corresponding to detected one or more obstacles. System (102) identifies detection points based on longitudinal and lateral distance of vehicle (100) corresponding to one or more obstacles. System (102) applies pre-defined threshold constraint on detection points to determine target position of each of ORVM (106) of vehicle (100). System (102) automatically moves ORVM (106) from an original position to target position based on pre-defined threshold constraints.
