Abstract: A automated rain water harvesting device, comprises of a cylindrical shaped hollow body 101 crafted with a slit 110 that is accessed by a user to engage the slit 110 around edge of an sloping roof to collect rain water from the roof top, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 102 to determine length of the edge, a primary motorized drawer arrangement to provide extension to body 101, a motorized clamp 103 to grip ends of the edge, an triangular shaped mesh 104 attached with each opening of the body 101 each by means of a hinge joint 105 to prevent passage of debris out of body 101, a cylindrical extendable member 106 to receive the filtered water, a secondary motorized drawer arrangement to provide extension to the body 101 in accordance with the detected length, thereby enabling the user to connect the member 106 with drain outlet.
