Abstract: An automated rail track spike installation device comprises of, a cuboidal body 101 configured with a pair of track wheels 102 to manoeuvre over a surface, an imaging unit 103 installed on the body 101 for capturing and processing images in vicinity of the body 101, a L-shaped rod 104 is installed over the body 101 and configured with an electronic nozzle 106 to dispense adhesives stored in the chamber 105, a robotic arm 108 installed over the platform to grip a track spike from a chamber 105 stored with plurality of track spikes, an electromagnet 114 integrated to secure the spikes with the plates 113, an ultrasonic sensor installed with the body 101 to detect distance between cavities, and a laser projector 115 installed over the body 101 to project laser beam over the cavity to allow the link 112 to precisely position spikes within the cavities.
