Abstract: An automated protective film installation device for carpet comprises of a platform 101 installed with a spool wrapped with a protective film, via a pair of L-shaped rods 102 to deploy the film, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103 for detecting exact location of the carpet, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 104 configured underneath the platform 101 for maneuvering and positioning the platform 101, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 104 configured underneath the platform 101 for maneuvering and positioning the platform 101 to grip free-end of the film, a pair of robotic arms 106 assembled on the platform 101 for stapling the free-end with the carpet via a pair of staplers 107, an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 108 equipped with a roller, installed with the platform 101 to press the film, a motorized blade 110 installed on the platform 101 to cut the film.
