MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531029448 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan Deemed To Be University on March 27, 2025, for Automated Plants Relocation Device.
Inventor includes Pratyashi Satapathy.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: An automated plants relocation device comprises of an inverted U-shaped frame 101 with motorized wheels 102 for translation over a surface, an artificial intelligence- based imaging unit 103 integrated with a LiDAR sensor captures and processes surface images to create a 3D map displayed on a touch interactive panel 104 for user selection of plants and relocation locations, a motorized horizontal sliding unit 105 positions expandable cylindrical members 106 with laser measurement sensors to match plant dimensions, an inverted L-shaped hydraulic rods 107 extend and position the members 106, embedding sharp links into the surface, a motorized hinge joints 108 rotate the links to extract plants, while GPS guides the frame 101 to user-specified locations. The microcontroller actuates the rods 107 for replanting into cavities, with optional multi-sectioned chambers 111 dispensing fertilizer, water, and potting soil, and a GPR sensor ensures secure root extraction, enabling efficient plant relocation.
