MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094271 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on November 30, 2024, for Automated Plant Sapling Nourishment And Shielding Device.

Inventors include Palki Sahib Kaur; Inderpreet Kaur; Seema Bidla; Abhishek Saini; Minakshi Rana; Jagatpreet Singh; and Pushpika Sharma.

Abstract: An automated plant sapling nourishment and shielding device, comprises of a cylindrical frame 101 having a pair of curved vertical plates 102 positioned in proximity to a plant sapling, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103 to determine dimensions of the sapling, a drawer arrangement for extending the plate, multiple electromagnets 104 to establishing the frame 101 around the sapling, a tactile sensor to detect hardness of the soil, a sun sensor for monitoring position of Sun, multiple motorized iris lids 201 to open for betterment of the plant, a color sensor for detecting presence of pest infection on the plant sapling, an electronically controlled nozzle 106 on a multi-sectioned chamber 107 for dispensing an anti-septic solution, a sensing module for monitoring pH level and nutritional content and a communication module for monitoring condition of the plant sapling.
