MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511012807 A) filed by Sanskriti University on February 14, 2025, for Automated Plank Cutting Device.

Inventors include Dr. Pradeep Kumar; and Dr. Sudesh Kumar Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: An automated plank cutting device, comprises a platform 101 positioned over a ground surface, plurality of telescopic rods 102 installed beneath the platform 101 support the platform 101, a motorized disc 104 attached with a pair of U-shaped members 105 accessed by user to place a blade of a saw, an imaging unit 106 captures images of the member, a touch interactive display panel 107 enables user to enter details for cutting of plank, an inverted L-shaped hydraulic bar 108 extend to position motorized expandable gripper 109 in proximity to handle of saw, a motorized crank and level arrangement 110 extend and retract the gripper 109 to move the blade for cutting the plank, an ultrasonic sensor monitors the thickness of the plank to evaluate appropriate pressure to be applied, a motorized ball and socket joint orient the blade over the plank.
