Abstract: An automated pit-forming device for agricultural fields, comprises of a platform 101 configured with plurality of motorized wheels 102 for providing mobility across an agricultural field, an imaging unit 103 to generate a 3-dimensional mapping of surroundings, a touch interactive display panel 104 to select a desired area, depth, spacing and planting configuration of the pit, a LiDAR sensor for detecting distance of the selected area from the platform 101, a linear actuator 107 in sync with the imaging unit 103, to position a circular disc 105 in correct alignment over the selected area, a DC (Direct Current) motor linked with the disc 105 for rotating to allow blades 106 to penetrate in soil of the selected are, a motorized pivot joint 108 for adjusting orientation of the disc 105 for the blades 106 to dig into the soil surface at correct depth allowing the user to plant desired seeds.
