Abstract: An automated pipe shifting device, comprises of a C-shaped frame 101 attached with an elongated bar 102 positioned over a pipe’s surface, a microphone 103 to provide input voice commands for shifting pipe, a speaker 115 for providing audible alerts to remove obstacle, an imaging unit 104 to determine curvature of pipe, a plurality of curved plates 105, integrated with multiple motorized hinges 106 for aligning with pipe’s surface, a plurality of suction units 107 to secure frame 101, a roller 108 coiled with a looped chain 109 for unwinding an appropriate length, a pair of hydraulic arms 110 to grab hook 113, an elongated body 111 with a pair of motorized sliding units 112 to translate arms 110 to secure a hook 113 attached at a free-end of chain 109 with valve mount, and a linear ratchet arrangement 114 to provides controlled rotational motion for winding chain 109.
