Abstract: Lipid oxidation in edible oils causes depletion of endogenous tocopherols and formation of tocopherol quinones associated with oxidative deterioration and potential health risks. The present invention discloses an integrated analytical system for simultaneous determination of four tocopherol and four tocopherol quinone homologues in edible oils. The system comprises a rapid sample preparation kit completing extraction within three minutes, a normal-phase HPLC method with UV detection at 268 nanometres using a silica column and n-hexane, isopropanol, and tetrahydrofuran mobile phase, a Tocopherol Oxidation Index software for standardized oil quality grading, and a multi-matrix calibration database for major edible oils with matrix-specific recovery correction factors. The method achieved complete separation within fifteen minutes with linearity ranging from 0.9850 to 0.9996, detection limits of 0.0564 to 0.371 micrograms per millilitre, precision below 2.69 percent RSD, and recoveries of 78.8 to 106.3 percent.
