Abstract: An automated multizone bioreactor apparatus (100) for continuous extraction of bast fibers from Prosopis juliflora stems is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a pretreatment assembly (101), a segmented counter-current microbial bioreactor (200), a real-time process monitoring system (300) including a programmable logic controller (308), and an ultrasonic fiber separation assembly (402). The apparatus performs continuous mechanical pretreatment, biological retting, automated endpoint detection, and ultrasonic separation to recover bast fibers from the woody core. The integrated configuration provides continuous processing with reduced processing time, improved process control, enhanced fiber quality, and reduced manual intervention, making the apparatus suitable for industrial-scale extraction of bast fibers from Prosopis juliflora stems.
