Abstract: ABSTRACT: The increasing global demand for seafood has driven the need for sustainable aquaculture solutions that optimize feeding efficiency through automation and AI. Traditional feeding methods rely on manual labor, resulting in inconsistent feed distribution and inefficient resource utilization. The proposed system integrates IoT, AI, and autonomous drones with automated feed silos to enhance feeding precision, reduce manpower, and ensure optimal species growth. The rotating multi-feed silo system automatically dispenses the correct feed type and size based on real-time data, optimizing feeding schedules and minimizing waste. The system operates in synchronization with autonomous drones, which disperse feed over aquaculture ponds using adjustable nozzles on rotating turrets. The charging dock manages both feed refilling and drone charging (wired or wireless) while computer vision and LIDAR sensors enable obstacle detection. A centralized AI-powered feed optimization algorithm dynamically adjusts feeding patterns based on species growth and environmental conditions, ensuring a fully automated and scalable aquaculture feeding solution. The Feed Silo System is a fully automated, AI-integrated, multi-container storage and dispensing unit designed to optimize feed refilling operations for autonomous aquaculture feeding drones. This system consists of multiple cylindrical storage tanks attached to a servo motor-controlled rotating turret, enabling precise feed selection based on species type and growth stage. Each feed silo is equipped with tapered conical ends to ensure controlled feed flow and linear actuator-driven nozzles for seamless refilling into drone dispensers without human intervention. The rotating turret mechanism, coupled with servo motor-actuated flaps, allows the silo system to dispense multiple feed types and sizes, catering to species-specific nutritional needs. Integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) communication, the silos receive real-time instructions from the central computing system, ensuring optimized feed dispensing based on machine-learning-driven growth analysis. Constructed from HDPE and stainless steel, the silos offer durability, corrosion resistance, and weatherproofing for long-term operational efficiency. The automated refill process is synchronized with drone activity, minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted feeding schedules. The system enhances operational efficiency by eliminating manual intervention, reducing feed wastage, and improving precision feeding in aquaculture farms. This smart feed silo system revolutionizes aquaculture feeding by integrating AI, automation, and robotics, making it an adaptable and scalable solution for modern fish farming operations.
