MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541030384 A) filed by Jain Deemed-To-Be University on March 28, 2025, for Automated Mortar Mixture Shaping Device.

Inventor includes Dr. Raghu N.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: An automated mortar mixture shaping device, comprises of a platform 101 positioned near a brick structure layered with mortar mixture and supported by motorized wheels 102 for translational movement, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 103, integrated with a processor, captures and processes structural images to generate a 3D mapping via a linked microcontroller, a touch interactive display panel 104 enables user input to specify target areas and desired shapes, a proximity sensor monitors the platform's distance from the specified area, and a motorized lead screw arrangement 105 vertically positions a shaping unit, the shaping unit includes a plate 106 with motorized hinge joints 107 that adjust its shape and a telescopic link 108 for contact with the mixture, a moisture sensor assesses the mixture's moisture level to determine the required shaping force, while a force sensor ensures precise application.
